The Billerica Scholarship Foundation and Dollars for Scholars believes any sincere and determined person should have the opportunity to continue their education after graduation.  Scholarships can be for two-year, four-year, vocational and technical colleges.  Youth and adults may be eligible.

 


High School Student Scholarships 

All high school students residing in Billerica are eligible to apply for scholarships, regardless of the high school they attend (BMHS, Shawsheen Tech, private and catholic high school).    

The Foundation has over 85 different scholarships and 6 additional special scholarships.

 


Adult Scholarships

The Billerica Scholarship Foundation is pleased to offer the opportunity of financial assistance to Billerica adult residents seeking post secondary education (academic/vocational/technical/business) in a career advancement program.  

There are special Adult Scholarships available for Billerica residents, sponsored by the Foundation.

In addition to the application , you must submit the following:

  1. A letter of recommendation from your instructor or your employer AND proof of enrollment in course.
     
  2. In 200 words or less, discuss your academic interest and goals and how you plan to achieve these goals.
     
  3. A personal letter of reference from a religious mentor, teacher, colleague or friend.
     
  4. In a brief statement, please describe any unusual family or personal circumstances which may inhibit the attainment of your career goals.

New Phoenix Scholarship

 

The Billerica Scholarship Foundation is pleased to offer the opportunity of financial assistance to a deserving Billerica resident who may have taken an unconventional path toward seeking postsecondary: academic/vocational/technical business education or career advancement program. 

In addition to the application, you must submit the following:

  1. A letter of recommendation from your instructor or your employer.
  2. Proof of enrollment in a course or program.
  3. In 250 words are less, explain how your hardship and the path taken have lead to your currrent and future academic goals.
  4. A personal reference from a religious mentor, teacher, a person on the committee or board in which you have served with or under, a colleague or friend.
  5. In a brief statement please describe any unusual family or personal circumstances which may inhibit the attainment of your career goals.
